Roles and responsibilities
PCC Group are Information Technology and AV Integrators specializing in plug and play solutions. A privately held company headquartered in Calgary with offices in Edmonton and Kitchener-Waterloo, supporting our clients’ needs across Canada. Offering full-service project delivery from design, consulting, product procurement to implementation and support. Our key services include P&P Pre-terminated cabling, sound-masking, mass notification emergency communications, audiovisual meeting collaboration and support services.
Reporting to the Team Lead, responsibilities include:
- Reporting to and working for a Team Lead to meet deadlines as defined by the project schedule and issued for construction CAD drawings
- Assist with the delivery of product to work location, set up of work site and site clean up
- Installation and testing of RapidNet Cat 6 and Fibre pre-terminated cabling systems to support building/company IT Infrastructure
- Installation and testing of Spectra iNet Networked Sound-masking and MNEC (Mass Notification Emergency Communications) systems
- Installation of hardware and cables to support audio visual solutions
- Maintain a professional attitude when working around the Client’s workspace and with other Trades
- Be aware of and adhere to health and safety rules for site
- Adhere to the regulations of the company’s health and safety program (COR)
- Projects may include evenings, weekends and travel to support National projects
Qualifications and education requirements
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- 2 Years plus experience
- Accreditation and training in traditional structured cabling methods, audiovisual or sound-masking
- Accredited for health and safety, high-level work and other construction-related certifications
- Knowledge of COR health and safety program
- Physically fit with lifting and use of ladders required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Presentable and professional while working
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Willingness to take on new challenges and training
